About the collection

A short list of fragrances that lean woody, fresh and smoky, each as an 8.5 oz candle and most as a 2 oz diffuser oil. Use it to find a scent for his space, or a gift that suits him.

What makes these candles different

Every fragrance here is our own, found only at The GOOD LIFE. Each candle is hand-poured in small batches in Aubrey, Texas, in a blend of soy, beeswax and coconut oil, made without paraffin and with phthalate-free fragrance oils.

Each 8.5 oz candle burns for up to 40 hours with proper care. Most of these fragrances also come as 2 oz diffuser oils for a compatible diffuser, so an office or a truck can carry the same scent as the living room.

How to choose a scent for him

Match the fragrance to the room or to the cologne he already likes. These families are a good place to start.

  • Woods and greens Black Cypress: pine, fir and mint over amber and tobacco. Sandalwood: star anise and cedarleaf over creamy sandalwood.
  • Fresh and citrus Obsidian: lemon, eucalyptus and mint over vetiver and oakmoss. Rodeo: bergamot, orange and fresh air over cedarwood and musk.
  • Leather and smoke Leather: tanned and aged leather. Gunpowder: midnight air and citron, then black pepper, patchouli and black musk.
  • Rich and spiced Gentleman's Lounge: lemon, cedarwood and patchouli over velvet woods. Ashcroft: moss and bergamot, incense and saffron, then palo santo and sandalwood.

Burn and care

Lit soy candle from The GOOD LIFE in a white jar with a gold rim

On the first burn, let the melt pool reach the edge of the glass. Trim the wick to 1/4 inch before each burn, burn for 2 to 4 hours at a time, and stop when 1/4 to 1/2 inch of wax remains. For oils, use a compatible diffuser and follow its instructions.

Good to know

How long does a candle burn?

Up to 40 hours with proper care. Let the first burn reach the edge of the glass, trim the wick to 1/4 inch, and burn 2 to 4 hours at a time.

What is the wax?

A blend of soy, beeswax and coconut oil, made without paraffin. It is the same in every candle we pour.

Candle, spray, oil or Scent Shot?

A candle scents a room over hours. A 100 ml room and linen spray works right away. A 2 oz oil is for a compatible diffuser. A 3 ml Scent Shot lets you try a fragrance first.

Can I add a name or a date to the lid?

Yes. Add a Custom Engraved Lid to your order with your wording. We confirm it with you before we engrave, and there is no minimum quantity.

Can I pick up my order?

Yes. Eligible online orders can be picked up at our shop inside Grapevine Mills, in front of Pop Mart.
