About the collection

Every candle in this collection is hand-poured in small batches in Aubrey, Texas, and every fragrance is our own. Below is a short guide to what goes into each jar, how to pick a scent, and how to get the most out of every burn.

What makes these candles different

The fragrances are our own, found only at The GOOD LIFE. You will not find Saffron 33, Black Cypress or Obsidian on another shelf.

The wax stays the same across the collection: a blend of soy, beeswax and coconut oil, made without paraffin. The fragrance oils are phthalate-free. Each candle holds 8.5 oz and burns for up to 40 hours with proper care.

Every jar is poured by hand in Aubrey, Texas, in small batches, then finished with a black lid and the gold TGL mark.

How to choose a scent

Start with the kind of fragrance you already reach for. Each line below lists real candles from this collection and the notes that open them.

  • Warm and amber Saffron 33: saffron, jasmine and crystal vanilla over red amber. Golden Oasis: bergamot and magnolia, then rose petals and amber.
  • Fresh and clean Obsidian: lemon, eucalyptus and mint. Beach Linen: orange blossom, cotton blossom and ozone. Seaside Amber: ozone, sea salt and freesia.
  • Woody and smoky Black Cypress: pine, fir and mint over amber and tobacco. Sandalwood: star anise, creamy sandalwood and cedarwood. Gunpowder: black pepper, patchouli and black musk.
  • Sweet and fruity Butt Naked: strawberry, coconut and cherry. Vanilla Satin: coconut, marshmallow and tonka bean. Love Spell: peach and cherry blossom.

Burn and care

Let a new candle sit at room temperature for a day after it arrives. A soy and beeswax blend can show small marks on the surface as it settles, and that is normal.

On the first burn, let the melt pool reach the edge of the glass. Trim the wick to 1/4 inch before each burn, burn for 2 to 4 hours at a time, and stop when 1/4 to 1/2 inch of wax remains. Read more in our guide to burning a soy candle.

How to choose

How long does a candle burn?

Up to 40 hours with proper care. Let the first burn reach the edge of the glass, trim the wick to 1/4 inch, and burn 2 to 4 hours at a time.

What is the wax?

A blend of soy, beeswax and coconut oil, made without paraffin. It is the same in every candle we pour.

Candle, spray, oil or Scent Shot?

A candle scents a room over hours. A 100 ml room and linen spray works right away. A 2 oz oil is for a compatible diffuser. A 3 ml Scent Shot lets you try a fragrance first.

Can I add a name or a date to the lid?

Yes. Add a Custom Engraved Lid to your order with your wording. We confirm it with you before we engrave, and there is no minimum quantity.

Can I pick up my order?

Yes. Eligible online orders can be picked up at our shop inside Grapevine Mills, in front of Pop Mart.
